Hi Geners,
You’re in for a special treat this Sunday. We are having a special ‘guest’ speaker in our Third Service. Pastor Jentezen Franklin is coming to us ‘live’ through video and he will be speaking on the subject ‘Keep Your Underwear On’.

Jentezen Franklin takes a straightforward approach to exposing the truth. Satan's perversion of God's creation has destroyed lives throughout generations. But it ends here and now! Keep Your Underwear On will surprise you, it will make you laugh, it will challenge you - but most of all, it will change your life. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Hey Gen 1.4 i was reading tis book called How to have a Meaningful Quiet Time by Rick Warren. When i was reading i read tis sentence

"How long has it been, Christian, since you took time alone with God just to tell Him that you love Him?"

when i read tat tym it really get mi in to a deeper love in God. I brough out my instrument and juz worship Him. When i worship i felt God present around me and i juz go into my prayer tell him how much i love Him but i noe that he love me more den i love Him. When praying i feel so comfotable like i am so light, that is like all my trobles that He has taken all away from me.

So bro n sis i juz wanna bless u all with that sentence that i have read. Juz go into ur quiet time and juz tell Him how much u love Him.

Love,
Job Johnathan

1:35 AM

A small prayer that I read:

For the heart that longs for communion with Christ,
For the soul that thirsts for intimacy with its creator,
For the man or woman in search of a living relationship with the living God.

May we have that heart and soul. :)

The title is : Portrait Of A Revival Generation by Pastor Daniel. Enjoy!

Portrait of a Revival Generation
Acts 4:13 – 14

Acts 1:9 – 11

Peter and John weren’t old – they were young people

The believers were looking up reminiscing about the good old days… ‘the what ifs and the used to be’ – The historical Jesus vs. the ascended Christ

Stop looking back and start living in the now – for the future

Our faith today will produce a desired future tomorrow – what have you done you’re your measure of faith? All we need is a mustard seed sized faith and we can move a mountain

Sow seeds of destinies today and you will reap a harvest of opportunities tomorrow

God doesn’t just want us to make it to heaven – if you’re walking right with God then heaven will be your ultimate destination

He wants us to bring the atmosphere of heaven down to earth right now – the Lord’s Prayer ‘Your kingdom come… on earth as it is in heaven’

Question – what is the atmosphere of heaven?

Peace
Prosperity
Health
Joy
Love

We call that revival!

Revival is when God is sick and tired of being misrepresented that He shows up.

Acts 2:1 – 4

Heaven came to earth – Jesus tagged the Holy Spirit, He walked right through the Devil’s living room in the 2nd heaven and invaded the earth

The Early Christians walked under the atmosphere of heaven – they bring that atmosphere wherever they went – the marketplaces, synagogues, schools and homes… and things happened!

4 Characteristics of a Revival Generation

1. They were Loudhailers

Live their lives loud – Boldness

The righteous is as bold as a lion – Proverbs 29:1

The devil is like a lion; he seeks to intimidate us and inject fear into our lives.

But Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah – and he wants us to roar in the face of the enemy.

Fear is not of God – fear of men is a trap; it hinders us from accomplishing God’s plan.

Fear will bring shame into our lives – Garden of Eden: we were afraid because we were naked (shame).

Yet Paul said I am not ashamed of the gospel. He wasn’t afraid to proclaim…

God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.

Boldness to witness, to speak the Word, to tell people about Jesus, to confront impossible situations…

Boldness – a sign of the fullness of the Holy Spirit

The idea of an Alien – we are not of this world – our convictions are different, our standards are higher, our friends will find us weird, but…

Be a Daniel!
Will we stand up when the Name of Jesus is blasphemed?
Will we speak up when our values are challenged?
Will we challenge the status quo and the spirit of this age?

Edmund Burke – the only way for evil for triumph is when good people keep silent!
2. Jesus Addicts

Illustration of ‘My Smelly Pillow’

Can’t enough of Jesus – want more of His presence

In His presence there is fullness of Joy – Jesus in the morning, noon and night hours

These men made room for God and people can see it!

Ezekiel’s Vision – the river increasing in depth – ankle deep, knee deep, wait deep and waters to swim in!

There’s more, there must be more!

The same Moses was a Jesus Addict – he’s not contented with his past experiences, his cry was ‘that I may see Your glory!’

Moses had to put on a veil cos his face was shining – it’s visible!

David was a Jesus Addict – as the deer pants for the water so my soul longs for you – one day in Your court is better than a thousand elsewhere!

One of the most moving stories in the Bible – David wanting to build God a house – went into the Tabernacle to sit before the Lord.

Paul’s cry is that I may know you.

3. Proof Producers

Signs and wonders – signs point to a direction – signs are proof that Jesus is well and alive. Wonders are just that – people around wonder what happened.

He’s the same yesterday today and forevermore

Miracles of healings point to the fact that Jesus is healer

John G Lake – deadly bacteria died in his palm

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things

Miracles of changed lives – they are for signs and wonders!

4. Extreme Givers

Sold all they had – no lack

Those who have give more – no equal giving but equal sacrifice.

I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing – David

God wants your life – Illustration – Girl who placed herself in the offering plate.

This is from Pastor Daniel's blog :

Quoting Pastor Yang… “There is a new 5-letter word in town and that’s ‘favor’” As we cross the finishing line for 2006 and start a new season in 2007, let us ride the wave of God’s divine favor and see a dramatic increase and fruitfulness in our own lives, and in this ministry, even before the year ends. The Lord promised that He will “crown our year with goodness”. I want to share with you 3 simple facts about God’s favor:
Following are three statements about the favor of the Lord.
David wrote in Psalm 5:12 these powerful words “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.” The favor of the Lord is like a shield that surrounds you on every side. You are absolutely safe under the favor of the Lord. There is no need for the righteous to live in fear. No evil will befall you. The Lord protects you from accidents and unnecessary harm.
Proverbs 16:15 says, “In the light of the king’s face is life; and his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.” So, when you have the favor of God on you, you are walking under the cloud of the latter rain. You can experience an open heaven. You can bask in His refreshing presence all day long.
Proverbs further tells us: “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion; but his favor is like dew upon the grass.” So, God’s favor is like a cloud of the latter rain, and it is also like dew on the grass. You never need to be spiritually dry when you are walking under God’s favor!
If you walk in the favor of the Lord, you take the cloud and the dew with you wherever you go. The humble child and servant of God who walks in the fear of the Lord under the cloud of God’s favor is a “rain-bringer.” He automatically blesses everybody he comes in contact with. There is a fragrance about him, a presence within him—something overshadowing him that goes everywhere he goes.
Now is the set time to favor Zion!

The title for today is Ministry - Character= Disaster .

Last sunday, news broke that an influential pastor in America admitted to charges of sexual immorality and drug abuse. In today's newspapers, he was quoted as saying that he had been struggling with these issues for a long period of time. When i heard about it this week, it shocked and saddened me to learn that such a man of stature and integrity fell into sin.

As i reflected on this matter, 2Timothy 3:1-7 came to my mind. It says, "But know this, that sin in the last days perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We are living in the last days in which the onslaught of the enemy is getting stronger. Like what Pastor said on Sunday, it is getting increasingly to live in today's world. Coming to church every week, raising hands and doing "pentecoastal aerobics", saying a little bless me prayer everyday is not what i desire. I need to purpose myself to love God's Word and live a life contary to the standards of the world. Pastor James Singh emphasised strongly on how Daniel purposed in his heart to make a stand. Only God's word and His presence will sustain christians to live in such times. There are no short cuts. I need to constantly watch my heart.

Psalms 24:3-4 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.

Give me clean hands and a pure heart Lord. You said "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God". I want to see You and gaze into Your beauty everyday. Show Your face to this generation!

hey guys and girls of Gen 14...

its been quite some time since ive interacted with you all since the start of payments for Youth Camps, since my school started and the many other things which took place on Sats causing me to be late for cell... and yeah... not being around on Sun mornings before 3rd service cuz ive been deprived of my sleep :(

nevertheless... i still think about you people k!!

that's one thing i really love about the people of God. unlike the world, we dont really have to "do much" or "spend tremendous time and effort" keeping that friendship / bond because we have something common - Christ. He is, and should be the centre of all our friendships.

dont know why i came to talk about this, but let it be a reminder to us all... it really doesnt matter HOW much we are doing, but it really depends on WHAT we are inside. look at people in the Bible - John the Baptist, Moses, Jesus... they all spent the beginning of their years in silence.

we dont know what they went through as children, youths etc, but we sure do when they were young men - at the age of 30 and 40. they made tremendous impact for God. wow!! isnt that somethings? dont despise the chastening of the Lord, because that purifies us!!!

oh, come on friends, how we need to pursue God like we've never done so before... how we need to keep our love for Him fiery red hot and passionate because "the love of many will grow cold"... how we need to keep our eyes focused on HIM!!! and how we need to learn to be like Mary of Bethany --- excusing herself from the affairs and business of the world, to take time off with the Lord, sitting by His feet and adoring Him...

mo.k <"Jie-Karen"> =)

Dear Leaders,
Greetings from the Generations office! As you know, Pastor Daniel and Andrew are in Manila this week for the Jesus Revolution conference and Isaiah is out of the country on his honeymoon. They will all return by this weekend. Let's keep them in our prayers and believe God to move powerfully in the conference (and on vacation for Isaiah!).

I thought Pastor Lip Yong's message on Sunday was awesome. It's a timely reminder for all of us that our greatest desire and passion in life must be God Himself. Let's spread this passion to those in our cell groups and beyond. Being a man or woman after God's own heart is His greatest calling for us; we were created for His own pleasure. We want to raise up a generation of "Davids" and not "Sauls"-people who don't care for earthly glory or recognition but who's great desire is to know God more. Ministry is never about us or the things we can do, but must always be a way of pointing people towards God, motivated out of our own compelling desire to know God and be known of Him

I want to encourage you to continue encouraging your cell to use the Bible reading plan in "Fresh Weekly." Many cells are using the new resource to great effect, and their members can be seen opening the bulletin each week and memorizing the verses. Bible reading and memorization has a way of transforming our thinking and is an excellent and essential discipline for all Christ-followers.

Let's invite our friends and follow ups to 3rd service this Sunday.

Pastor Daniel will be sharing and it will be an excellent message, and a great opportunity for salvation and rededication. Continue asking your members to invite people to our service on a weekly basis. Also, let's keep in mind the GEMMY awards, coming on November 25th. It's going to be a great night, as it should be a very fun environment for all Geners and guests, and also a great platform to preach the Gospel. Begin spreading the word in your cell group, the publicity for the GEMMYs will be out very shortly.

Have a great week, and thanks for your continued sacrifice of love to the ministry!
Cameron
